Fire Fighters Memorial Day 2021
Many of our Fire Stations and Personnel both current and retired will pause today to remember those who have lost their lives in the Line of Duty.
Please take some time today to pause, if you are a Chaplain, you may want to put this in your diary for today and future years and arrange a time to be at your local station or ensure you make time in the day to be still and pray and remember.
Here is the link to learn more about the day and to pause and reflect:
Tuesday 4May is Firefighters' Memorial Day, when we honour the firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Over 2,300 firefighters have died protecting their communities and keeping people safe.
Tragically, over the last year we have lost members of our firefighting family to coronavirus. We hold their families, friends and colleagues in our thoughts.
Although we are unable to come together this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will still stand together to remember the firefighters we have lost.
On Tuesday 4May at midday the FBU will be laying a wreath and partaking in a minute's silence at the National Firefighters Memorial at St Paul's Cathedral. (Taken from the FBU's mailing)
The FRSCA continues to work to support Fire and Rescue Service Chaplains to support those working for the Fire and Rescue Service. Contact us for more information.
