Black History Month
Last month was Black history month, it was an interesting month but I have to confess to having been underprepared for it. It was good to see some really good material and I heard some really good practice at one of the Chaplaincy Teams we are associated with Guys and St Thomas' Hospital Trust:

The London chaplains have led services every Wednesday lunchtime in October at St
Thomas's Hospital, services have been led by different members of the BME chaplains. Each chaplain has brought a different understanding of God and Black history. This has been the first time we have done this and we will definitely do it again, it has been fascinating.
Below is the story of Frank Bailey, the first full time Black London Fire Fighter.

Next year I have put it in the diary and have already put in place some ideas to work with our local schools. If you have any ideas or suggestions then please let us know.
